Just to share a few....

I have not managed my blogspot in quite some time now, but I'm back on the saddle and decided to post some photos of projects I've completed within the last few months. Spring is definitely in the air...I know because my allergies are on the rampage! Pics of items I'm currently working on will be posted soon...

First scarf of the season

It's fall and winter is approaching fast. Scarves, sweaters and jackets have been pulled out of the closet to break the morning and evening chill. Although Ive been slacking in my yarn creations for several weeks, Im slowly getting back in the saddle. Here's a look at my first scarf for the season. The pattern is a Diagonal Lace Scarf Designed by Helena Frank which can be found @ www.midnightpurls.com.

knitting and crochet local chapter meetings

Last weekend I attended the chapter meetings of the knitting guild and crochet guild.
I have to say it was exhilarating and welcoming to be in the company of so many people that share the same interest. I was excited about the anticipation of meeting new people, developing new relationships and of course learning tons of information about the crafts that I love so much.

There are retreats, worshops, conferences that I was not aware of pertaining to both knitting and crocheting. Until recent months I was not aware of the "world" of yarnery (I made that word up....i think...). At this point in my life I am at a point where Im ready to dive in head first....so that's exactly what Im going to do.

If there is anyone who is interested in learning, relearning, or improving knitting or crocheting skills, I encourage you to find local groups in your area to assist you.

Buttercup FO

This is the finished bag that I discussed in my last blog. Easy rippled knit pattern. People seem to like this one...I have three more to make.
